PT encouraged me to sign up and wanted a challenge/goal to work towards to get back in shape

What advice would you give someone looking to get started on their own challenge?

Develop a process and plan that is sustainable for you and stick to it!

Why did you decide to join the challenge?
I wanted to push myself and see what results I could achieve in that 6 weeks.

What made the biggest impact on your results?
The biggest impact was integrating strength with cardio. Every session I aimed for a 40 minute strength session followed with 20-30 minutes on the stair master.

What advice would you give someone looking to get started on their own challenge?
My advice would be set realistic goals. The hardest thing about challenges is not sticking with them for the entire time. It is important to have rewards or check in points to encourage you to continue.

Why did you decide to join the challenge?
Motivation to be consistently active

What made the biggest impact on your results?
Maintaining a calorie deficit with the right food. Eating right and cutting out sugar and alcohol, but fitting in an extra run or workout if I looked like I might go over.

What advice would you give someone looking to get started on their own challenge?
Track everything and don’t do it half hearted. The first week was HARD and the cravings were real. But it settles out once my body adjusted to the new diet. Rest when you need to so you can do more the next day.

Why did you decide to join the challenge?

I watched the Arnold Schwarzenegger documentary and got seriously inspired! He talked about the magic of having a clear goal and vision to actually see results — which this challenge gave me, kicking me out of my fitness slump faster than you can say ‘Hasta la vista, laziness!’ Plus, my amazing trainer Mak’s fiery encouragement kept me moving (and laughing) every step of the way.

What made the biggest impact on your results?

Trusting my trainer to push my upper limit, and challenge my personal bests. I would also say practicing good time-management; I work two jobs and it can sometimes feel impossible finding time to fit in training through the week, so planning ahead made a massive impact on my frequency.

What advice would you give someone looking to get started on their own challenge?

10/10 would recommend. This challenge reignited my motivation and made fitness a true priority — bringing a positive spark to other areas of my life and giving me back so much more daily energy
